The Texas Longhorns are expected to win 8.5 regular season games in 2022, priced at -115 both on the OVER and UNDER.

What to Know Before You Bet Texas Longhorns Futures

  • Games versus Alabama and at Oklahoma State and Kansas State should be tough, as will a showdown in Dallas versus Oklahoma.
  • Based on last year's team rankings, both Oklahoma and Oklahoma State should be near double-digit favorites against the Longhorns.
  • Using last year's power ratings, Iowa State would also be a road favorite in Texas on October 15.
  • Texas landed a top-five recruiting class loaded with offensive and defensive linemen.
  • They also got Ohio State quarterback Quinn Ewers, the nation's highest-rated recruit in 2021.
  • In addition to Ewers, the offense has other weapons that include junior running back Bijan Robinson, who ran for 1,127 yards (5.8 ypc) and 11 TDs.
  • Robinson was also the Longhorns' third-leading receiver in 2021 (26 catches for 295 yards and four TDs).
  • Texas must find a replacement for do-it-all kicker and punter Cameron Dicker.
  • Texas will need to win 9 games for the OVER and they'll be lucky to win 7, 8 is possible, but Alabama, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Kansas State, Iowa State and even Baylor, we just don't see it coming off a 5-7 season, even with the star quarterback.  The UNDER 8.5 is our choice here.
