Utah is THE least gambling-friendly state in the country, but this doesn't mean you can't bet online from here.  BetOnline welcomes those 18 and up looking to place Preakness Stakes bets.

Utah and Horse Racing

Due to licensing restrictions, TwinSpires, TVG, NYRABets, DraftKings, none of these will take bets from Utah.  You are therefore left with limited choices, Betonline among them.

It's interesting to note that Utah is no stranger to horse racing, despite the lack of any wagering component at the tracks.

Horse racing here has survived for close to 90 years.

Laurel Brown Racetrack in South Jordan thrives.  It's a $95,000 race that is funded without any takeout whatsoever from pari-mutuel betting that does not exist.

“With Utah, there’s enough people that want to run horses that they are able to go around and get sponsorships,” said leading trainer Riley Moosman, 27, in an interview with Horse Racing Nation. “It isn’t just the money. People are saying, ‘Hey, I’ve lived here my whole life and never won it. I want to win that race.’ So more and more they go out and buy very, very good horses.”
