Our friends at BetOnline have seen some great early action on the Colorado Buffaloes early on in the season.

Here are some standout betting trends:

Colorado +21.5 vs TCU Week 1 has more bets than any other side.

Over 3.5 wins has more bets than any college football win total.

100-1 to win the College Football Playoff is remarkably BetOnline's biggest liability.

So what gives? After all we are talking about a team that won a single game last season.  They also haven't won more than five games in a season since 2016.

The head coach is none other than Deion Sanders, who made it abundantly clear this team is going to win a lot of games, just not with most of the players on last year's team.

Some of the changes?

Kent State head coach Sean Lewis will run the offense. The Golden Flashes cranked up one of the fastest attacks in college football over the last few years.

Deion’s son, Shedeur Sanders, threw for almost 7,000 yards and 40 touchdowns in his two years at Jackson State.  He'll be joining Dad.

Kent State’s offense under Lewis got plenty of rushing yards out of its quarterbacks so we should see the younger Sanders excel here.

Also coming on board for the offense, USF receivers Jimmy Horn and Xavier Weaver.  The latter averaged 15 yards per grams with over 1,400 yards and eight scores over the last two years for the Bulls.

On defense, Edge rusher Derrick McLendon (Florida State) and end Sav’ell Smalls (Washington) should be great additions to a squad that finished second-to-last in the nation against the run, pass rush, and scoring D, allowing 44.5 points per game.

Colorado only has three games on the schedule that are marked as "should wins".
