(November 26, 2022) - Clemson goes into Saturday's Noon ET game versus the South Carolina Gamecocks as a -14.5 favorite but South Carolina cannot be overlooked following their shocking upset shellacking of the Tennessee Vols, a team that had been ranked number one in the nation just a few weeks ago.  The Tigers came into this game with just one loss and a College Football Playoffs Championship on its mind.

Clemson Tigers Line Trends 2022

Clemson owned a 6-5 record Against The Spread as of November 26.

Nov 12, 2022 vs. Louisville - Louisville +7.5 to +7 Clemson.  Home favorite Clemson covers and wins by a lot with an overlay 2 to 2.5

Nov 5, 2022 @ Notre Dame - Clemson -3.5 to -4.5 to -3.5 Notre Dame.  Here the home dog ND covered and won outright. We had an overlay of 2.5 to 3.5.  Heading into November 26, overlays went 30-10 in favor of the underdog with a base number of 3.

Oct 15, 2022 @ FSU - Clemson -4.5 to -3.5 and back up to -4.5 FSU.  The road favorite Clemson covered and won by 6 points.  We had an underlay of 3.5 to 4.5.  Underlays in the 3/3.5 range without going under the number 3 had gone 11-3 for the favorite (Clemson in this case) heading into November 26.

Oct 1, 2022 NC State - NC State +6.5 /+7 Clemson (home favorite covers and wins by 10) Clemson 7.43 On the Money.

Sep 24, 2022 @ WAKE - Clemson -7 Wake (home dog covers with Clemson 6 point win) 7.73 On the Money - This one went into double OT.  The accurate lines in this range, while a limited sampling, had gone 6-3 for the dog as of November 26.

Strong Opening to 2022

One thing we paid close mind to in the Week 1 clash (if you could call it that) between Clemson and Georgia Tech was the closing line and how the number had moved from -19.5 at some books all the way up to -24 at Bovada.  Action was plentiful (85% or greater) on the Tigers, even at that closing number.  BetOnline had reported 72% on Clemson at -24 at the time of closing.

Gambling911.com told you to take Clemson and they won by well over the -24 point spread, 41-10.

Of note, Bovada moving the line all the way to -24 was like a flashing red light.

Sagarin's new power ratings show no change in the Tigers number of 90.43, probably because of playing a team they should have beaten by even more.

This one actually opened at -22 before drifting down below the number -20.

DJ Uiagalelei threw for one touchdown and ran for another following a slow start.

The team still needs some work but they have two more weeks to fine tune things ahead of a game in Wake Forest.  Games against Furman next week and Louisiana Tech in Week 3 will have Clemson once again favored in the deep double digits.  Wake Forest, as of this time, will likely come in as an -11 point home dog against Clemson in Week 4.
