PITCHING MATCHUP: Tigers LH Matthew Boyd (2018: 9-13, 4.39 ERA) vs. Blue Jays RH Matt Shoemaker (2018: 2-2, 4.94)

Detroit slugger Miguel Cabrera is 3-for-16 with no extra-base hits and four strikeouts against Shoemaker.

Detroit has won the last three meetings, all in Toronto.  They have won five of the last seven head-to-heads.   Detroit is 5-12 in the last 17 meetings in Toronto.

Four of the last five have gone UNDER the current total of 9, all taking place in Toronto.
