2019-2020 Betting Outlook

The Dallas Cowboys had 25/1 odds of winning the 2020 Super Bowl.  They are pretty much in a dead heat to win the NFC East with Philadelphia.

The Longhorns rank right up there in the top 10 to win the 2020 College Football Championship.

AthlonSports.com writes of the Longhorns chances:

Whether the Longhorns can improve on last year's 10–4 record in 2019 — with a schedule that includes a Week 2 home game against LSU — will depend on two things: If junior quarterback Sam Ehlinger can match or improve on last season's performance behind a line with three new starters; and if the Horns can adequately replace nine starters on defense.

In college basketball, the Longhorns had respectable 50/1 odds.  This places them at the bottom 25 in the nation.

The Rangers owned a record just above the .500 mark heading out of the 4th of July holiday weekend and into the All Star Break, where their odds were 40/1 to win the World Series.

The Dallas Telegram suggests they have a lot of work to do if the Rangers want to remain contenders.

Things aren’t very good right now in Rangersland, where the home team has lost 6 of 7 games and slipped further behind in the race for the second wild card.

The pitching hasn’t been good, and the lineup has been inconsistent.

“Right now, it’s all around,” shortstop Elvis Andrus said. “It’s our pitching. We’re not hitting, especially early in the game. We’re doing something late. Something that we were doing, especially in June, was set the tone of the game early, score a lot of runs early, and right now it’s not happening.”

But the biggest factor has been the schedule. The Rangers aren’t playing a bunch of pushovers anymore.

Just look at who has been beating them:

Tampa Bay? Really good. Anaheim? Playing better. Minnesota? Really good.

Texas does not have in-state operated sportsbooks at this time.  Betting can only be placed online and is available anywhere with an Internet connection
