Great news for the FanDuel-branded Meadowlands Racetrack sportsbook may be bad news for gamblers.

That's because sports bettors are reporting anywhere from between 45 minutes to a hour wait to place bets, and it's not even Football season yet.  This is also with sports betting already available online in the Garden State via FanDuel competitor Draftkings along with a host of internationally-licensed sites.

A gambler on the SBRForum.com relayed:

The book made 1.3 million in just 18 days in July. That’s revenue! They don’t even have it under control yet. I went last Sunday and the line was out the door with just baseball. You had to get there by 12:20 just to get to the counter by 1pm games. They say they’ll have the app by foootball season. Another thing was there are tons of guys placing huge bets. They took people waiting off the long lines who were betting a dime or more, but I saw guys place 5 grand and 8 grand bets just in my minutes at the counter.

Another poster of that forum recounted:

Been there a couple times. The long line to bet isn't the only problem. They have TV screens displaying lines for each sport. The problem is they can't fit all the lines on a single screen so they scroll through the lines. Kind of like the screens at racetracks that display exacta prices. You have to stand there and wait to see the lines you are looking for. It really sucks.

While kiosks are anticipated in the coming weeks, the start of Football could be a horror show, especially NFL Sundays when at least one of the New Jersey (err.. New York) teams will be playing in the Meadowlands most weeks.  They will have an early reprieve in Week 3 with both teams on the road.

Gambling911.com plans to broadcast live from the Meadowlands sportsbook the first weekend of College Football.
