The Boston Red Sox host the Twins as a -159 favorite Thursday night.

PITCHING MATCHUP: Twins RH Kyle Gibson (4-7, 3.57 ERA) vs. Red Sox LH Brian Johnson (1-3, 3.81)

Gibson's bid for a third straight victory came to an end on Friday as he gave up four runs and six hits over 5 1/3 innings in a loss to Kansas City.   He is 1-3 with a 3.06 ERA in five career starts against the Red Sox.

Johnson is making his sixth start of the season but is slated to return to the bullpen after the outing versus the Twins.  Johnson lost to Detroit in his last turn despite allowing only two unearned runs and five hits over five innings.  Boston 9-1 in Johnson's last 10 starts.

It should be noted that the Twins are 12-5 in their last 17 overall.

Baseball News

Chris Paddack Player Prop Bets

Paddack recorded 10 strikeouts over seven shutout innings on Monday in a win over the White Sox. Prior to that start, Paddack was obliterated by the Orioles, allowing nine runs on 12 hits in 5 1/3 innings.

Zach Eflin Player Prop Bets

Zach Eflin has great value in fantasy leagues for the April 26 game against the lowly Chicago White Sox.  Betting on Eflin and the Tampa Bay Rays might make sense if not for the -210 price tag.

Trevor Williams Player Prop Bets

The Nats Trevor Williams held the Astros to one run with four strikeouts across six innings in a no-decision on Saturday.  And the betting public was eating him up at a near 80% clip.
