Major League Baseball Top Exposures - Nationals

The Washington Nationals are a major exposure here seeing 80% of the action as a -210 favorite versus the Rockies.

This one has jumped from -180 to -215 across the board.

Washington is a high priced favorite.

The Nationals Max Scherzer struck out 10 in a two-hit shutout of Atlanta in his last turn and has fanned 10 in two of his three starts.

The Rockies RH Jon Gray (1-2, 5.63 ERA) was roughed up for seven runs and a career-worst 10 hits while losing to the San Diego Padres in his last turn.  He is 0-1 with a 5.73 ERA in two career starts against the Nationals and has shut down Howie Kendrick (0-for-10, four strikeouts).

The problem here is that the Nationals are just 2-8 in their last 10 overall, so laying -210 on this team is not something I would suggest.

The Boston Red Sox have moved from -160 to as low as -149 and seeing better than 90% of the action at some books though not quite the volume of the Nationals.

Boston has won the last four meetings while Baltimore won the three previous games.

Boston is 11-1 in their last 12 overall.

Neither of these games are appealing to me so will pass on a play here.

Baseball News

Chris Paddack Player Prop Bets

Paddack recorded 10 strikeouts over seven shutout innings on Monday in a win over the White Sox. Prior to that start, Paddack was obliterated by the Orioles, allowing nine runs on 12 hits in 5 1/3 innings.

Zach Eflin Player Prop Bets

Zach Eflin has great value in fantasy leagues for the April 26 game against the lowly Chicago White Sox.  Betting on Eflin and the Tampa Bay Rays might make sense if not for the -210 price tag.

Trevor Williams Player Prop Bets

The Nats Trevor Williams held the Astros to one run with four strikeouts across six innings in a no-decision on Saturday.  And the betting public was eating him up at a near 80% clip.
