The Milwaukee Brewers are a top exposure for Thursday night's games as a -116 favorite after opening at -123.  Close to 60% of the action was on the Brewers.

PITCHING MATCHUP: Cardinals RH Carlos Martinez (3-3, 2.73 ERA) vs. Brewers LH Brent Suter (7-4, 4.30)

Martinez has issued 18 walks over just 12 2/3 innings in three starts since returning from a four-week absence due to a lat muscle injury. The 26-year-old is winless over his last four starts.

Suter has won six of his last eight decisions, including a victory over the Cardinals on May 28, and is 1-2 with a 4.10 ERA in eight career appearances (four starts) against St. Louis, all of which bets the question: Why are the Brewers such a small favorite here?

I'm not seeing enough action to pull the trigger here but some food for thought.

Baseball News

Chris Paddack Player Prop Bets

Paddack recorded 10 strikeouts over seven shutout innings on Monday in a win over the White Sox. Prior to that start, Paddack was obliterated by the Orioles, allowing nine runs on 12 hits in 5 1/3 innings.

Zach Eflin Player Prop Bets

Zach Eflin has great value in fantasy leagues for the April 26 game against the lowly Chicago White Sox.  Betting on Eflin and the Tampa Bay Rays might make sense if not for the -210 price tag.

Trevor Williams Player Prop Bets

The Nats Trevor Williams held the Astros to one run with four strikeouts across six innings in a no-decision on Saturday.  And the betting public was eating him up at a near 80% clip.
