Can't Bet on TwinSpires From Nevada

There is a casino just about everywhere there are people in Nevada, but the state does have a number of restrictions that make it difficult to bet with regulated apps.

TwinSpires, for example, is not available in the Silver State.  Alternatives include Americas Bookie with its rebates and generous bonuses as well as gamblers insurance.

American Gambler explains the rationale behind Nevada's lacking some of the bigger names in horse wagering apps.

Because Nevada law requires that providers undergo the rigorous licensing procedures required by the state – a legacy of its drive to root out Mob-controlled gambling – major ADW horse betting sites that do business in most gaming states are generally not available in Nevada.

Nevada is also one of the few states that requires in-person registration to open a mobile wagering account.  Individuals are unable to do so remotely from their home, work place or hotel (unless there happens to be a casino sportsbook downstairs).

There are three horse race tracks operating in Nevada:

Elko County Fair Board Thoroughbred Horse Racing – Elko, NV.
Winnemucca Convention Center – Winnemucca, NV.
White Pine Horse Races – Ely, NV.
