Breaking Bad vs. True Detective
Many of the Primetime Emmys will be a battle between Breaking Bad and True Detective. The Emmy for best drama series should go to Breaking Bad but True Detective should win their share of awards. Matthew McConaughey is the favorite to win best actor, as it appears that Bryan Cranston will lose out for the third straight year. Breaking Bad should win awards for supporting actor and supporting actress with Aaron Paul and Anna Gunn heavily favored.
Toss-Ups
There are some interesting categories that don’t have a clear favorite in Emmy odds. Lead actress looks to be a battle between Robin Wright and Julianna Marguilies. The Outstanding Comedy Series is a real fight between perennial winner Modern Family and newcomer Orange is the New Black. The Lead Actor in a Comedy Series should come down to Jim Parsons or Ricky Gervais while the Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series Emmy should go to Andre Braugher or Tony Hale.
