Poker Pro Daniel Negreanu a Racist?

Professional poker player Daniel "Kid Poker" Negreanu is a genius when it comes to playing poker.

But when it comes to coherent social commentary, not so genius.

Writing on his blog this month at website Full Contact Poker (www.fullcontactpoker.com), Negreanu made some outrageous comments about the sensitive subject of race, comments that would have created a firestorm if Negreanu had any relevance outside the poker world but which have been generally ignored because he is, after all, just a poker player.

Ben Roethlisberger Rape Accuser Bragged

TMZ.com was reporting that the accuser bragged about her sexual encounters with Roethlisberger to co-workers.

A former co-worker of Andrea McNulty signed an affidavit saying McNulty told her "she was hoping for a 'little Roethlisberger.'" The affidavit was obtained by the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

She also wanted to travel to Pittsburgh in an effort to "run into" Roethlisberger.

Savvas Zenonos a Poker Thief?

The Pokerati website is claiming foul when it comes to Queensland, Australia poker player Savvas Zenonos. 

"Big congratulations to Savvas Zenonos for successfully stealing $2,400 from the prize pool in a 2009 WSOP main event mega-satellite that was supposed to be shared in a 22-player chop," the website quipped.

Pokerati claims that five poker players were robbed of $300-$500 each "without (Zenonos) having to reach in their pockets!"

Mathieu Montcourt Died of Natural Causes: Banned for Betting

The French tennis player, Mathieu Montcourt, died of natural causes according to authorities Wednesday. 

"First indications lead us to conclude this was a natural death. But one must await the result of toxicological analyses, which should be forthcoming next week, in order to be completely certain," a police source told AFP following the autopsy at the Paris Medico-Legal Institute (IML).

Montcourt was only 24.  He had previously been banned in eight games following an investigation where allegations arose he had bet on tennis outcomes over the Internet.
