2010 College Football Bowl Betting

Gambling911.com is happy to bring you our 2010 College Football Bowl Betting Analyses, complete with the best odds currently available for the major College Bowl games.

2010 College Football Bowl betting on the Capital Bowl -

This one pits number 13 Penn State against number 12 LSU and one would expect a small line here.  And that's exactly what they get.  The public is backing LSU at 70 percent so getting them at the bigger number available is essential.  +2 ½ could be found at SBG Global.  50 percent of those online sportsbooks reporting their line had Penn State as the -2 favorite.  The -2 line could be found at Hollywood Sportsbook.

Our favorite College Football Bowl betting trends in this game include the Tigers being 15-6 ATS in their last 21 non-conference games while the Nittany Lions are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games following a S.U. win.  There are not a whole lot of trends that really jump out at us siding one team over the other.

The Gator Bowl -

Number 16 ranked West Virginia was going up against Florida State and just about everyone was offering this line at West Virginia -2 ½.

Florida State crushed West Virginia three years ago.  At the time, however, FSU was a -10 point favorite. They come into this game with a 6-6 record.

There are two strong stats that go against West Virginia that cannot be ignored.

They are 4-14 ATS in their last 18 games following a ATS win and 3-11 ATS in their last 14 vs. ACC.

2010 College Football Bowl betting on the Rose Bowl -

Number 7 Oregon is the most bet on of the teams playing on New Year's Day.  They were getting 80 percent of the public backing in this game against number 8 Ohio State.  Both teams come into this one with 10-2 records and we expect Ohio State vs. Oregon to be the most interesting of the College Bowl games taking place on New Year's Day.  Hollywood Sportsbook offered the line at Oregon -4.

Some top 2010 Rose Bowl betting trends include:

The Buckeyes are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games as an underdog of 3.5-10.0.

The Buckeyes are 9-2 ATS in their last 11 games following a ATS win.

Ohio State is 7-1 ATS vs. a team with a winning record.

They are 22-5 ATS in their last 27 games on grass.

The Ducks are 9-3 ATS in their last 12 games following a S.U. win.

The Sugar Bowl -

Number 3 ranked Cincinnati goes up against Number 5 ranked Florida and is a +12 ½ dog at places like SBG Global.  Go figure!  Florida is getting plenty of public backing however.

The Bearcats are 10-1-1 ATS in their last 12 games as an underdog but they are also 1-6 ATS in their last 7 Bowl games and 1-6 ATS in their last 7 games following a ATS loss.

The Gators, on the other hand, are 7-2 ATS in their last 9 games following a ATS loss.  Florida is 20-6 ATS vs. a team with a winning record.

The Cotton Bowl -

This will be the big College Football game on Saturday.  Number 19 Oklahoma State goes up against Mississippi.  The later team was a -3 favorite as of Wednesday at most online sportsbooks.

The Rebels are 7-0 ATS in their last 7 non-conference games but they are also 0-10-2 ATS in their last 12 games as a favorite of 0.5-3.0.  OUCH!

The Cowboys are 11-5 ATS in their last 16 games following a S.U. loss and 0-5 ATS as an underdog.

Xavier Worthy = Tyreek Hill 2.0?  Perhaps, and if that comes to fruition at any point in the future, the Bills only have themselves to blame.

J.J. McCarthy Drafted Number 3 Odds to Patriots

To be clear, the Michigan quarterback J.J. McCarthy is pretty certain to land in Minnesota.  But what if the New England Patriots shock us and pick McCarthy at Number 3 before the Vikings get their opportunity at No. 5?
