Bet on Cooper DeJean Draft Position

Cooper DeJean is expected to be chosen at the 22.5 mark with the over and under priced around the same in this year's NFL Draft.

The Iowa cornerback received the following recognitions/awards in 2023 before going down with an injury: First-team Associated Press All-American. Big Ten Defensive Back of the Year, Return Specialist of the Year. First-team All-Big Ten Conference. Finalist for the Jim Thorpe Award (nation's top DB), Nagurski Trophy (nation's top defender). He started 10 games (41 tackles, 2 TFL, 2 INTs, 5 PBUs).

The NFL.com profile for DeJean:

"Highly competitive defensive back with plus ball skills and noteworthy special teams value. DeJean is big and bundled for a cornerback, with muscular arms and tight hips. He has fantastic interception production, but his movements are more linear than fluid, and he doesn’t have the easy change of direction needed in man coverage on the next level. His best football is played with his eyes forward, using his instincts to challenge quarterbacks and his big downhill burst to smack whatever needs smacking. He would seem to be a no-brainer as a punt returner and gunner in Year 1. DeJean should be a big athletic tester, which will help get the hype train going, but finding the proper schematic fit will be important in unlocking his best football as a zone corner or interchangeable safety."

CBS Sports has DeJean going to the Eagles as the No. 22 pick.

Andrew Aziz of Stampede Blue has DeJean landing with the Colts, who have the No. 15 pick in this year's draft.

"He fits the Colts as well his style of play is better suited for zone and he has more experience playing zone than man at Iowa. We know the Colts under Gus Bradley like to run a lot of Cover 3 and with his athletic profile and experience, he should be well suited taking a deep third. He also offers value as a punt returner, an area the Colts have been lacking since the departure of Nyheim Hines and Isaiah Rodgers. He also has shown to be a great ballhawk, with a ton of interceptions over the past two seasons and some returned for touchdowns."

The UNDER 22.5 certainly has some value.
