College Football Bowl Games – New Years Day Odds

College Football Bowl games being played on New Years Day had the following odds at Sports Interaction (press time December 30: 2:30 pm EST):

Outback Bowl (11 am EST):  AUBURN -7 1/2 Northwestern

Capital One Bowl (1 pm):  WEST VIRGINIA -3 Florida State

Gator Bowl (1 pm): PENN STATE -2 Louisiana State

Rose Bowl (4:30 pm):  OREGON -4 Ohio State

Sugar Bowl (8:30 pm):  FLORIDA -12 ½ Cincinnati

Make no mistake about it, the Rose Bowl and Sugar Bowl are among the most popular College Bowl games of the new year and among the most wagered on.  The Capital One Bowl and Gator Bowl will each get decent betting action as well.

Gamblers should note that the Sugar Bowl line has been moving vigorously since opening at -10 ½.  It was now hovering between -12 ½ and -13 at most books

The Rose Bowl line had been relatively stable until today where a few books were moving off the -4 point line.

Xavier Worthy = Tyreek Hill 2.0?  Perhaps, and if that comes to fruition at any point in the future, the Bills only have themselves to blame.

J.J. McCarthy Drafted Number 3 Odds to Patriots

To be clear, the Michigan quarterback J.J. McCarthy is pretty certain to land in Minnesota.  But what if the New England Patriots shock us and pick McCarthy at Number 3 before the Vikings get their opportunity at No. 5?
