Dimitar Berbatov was coming in at 2/5 odds of remaining in Manchester United by the time the summer transfer window had closed, but there were doubts cast on Tuesday.

120x60 £

Sir Alex Ferguson went on the record as suggesting that Berbatov could ultimately leave the club and, more specifically, that he could end up playing for Paris St-Germain.  That team is looking to sign Berbatov.  They had 2/1 odds of doing so.

The French club are reportedly willing to pay £18-£20m for United's top goal scorer.

A French television journalist asked the United manager if Berbatov could play with Paris St-Germain, who are interested in signing the striker. "Yes," a smiling Ferguson replied. "Absolutely, no problem."
