The Falcons vs. Bears betting odds for Week 1 Sunday game had Atlanta as a -6.5 favorite on the road.

Considering the Falcons entered last season with the 4th hardest schedule and still made it to the Super Bowl, one must take this team seriously heading into 2017.  After all, much of the same pieces from last year’s NFC Championship team are still in place.  Forget that Super Bowl hangover this season.

It’s interesting to note that the Falcons are returning top talent on both sides of the ball.  Dontari Poe will just make them better.

Atlanta was favored to win OVER 8.5 regular season games and that is a great bet even with the high -150 price tag.

As for the Chicago Bears, an NFL executive told ESPN.com: “Their receiving corps is bad.  I actually think Mike Glennon can be decent for them in the short term, but they clearly don’t have the horses to help around him, and this is ultimately the downfall.”

Oddsmakers have a Total Regular Season Wins OVER/UNDER of 5.5.
