Falcons Win By 22 or More Against Packers? Shock Margin of Victory Odds a Mistake?

Sportsbook.com/.ag had The Atlanta Falcons as a favorite to win by 22 or more points at 4/1 odds in their Margin of Victory betting option.  That’s not a misprint.  Yes, the lowest payout was on Atlanta to win by more than 22 points.

The odds are also good this might have been a mistake on Sportsbook’s part.  Looking at the Betonline Margin of Victory betting, this range was coming in priced at 14/1.  It turns out this number was not a mistake at Sportsbook.  They even moved it a half point towards the +500.

As we routinely note, Margin of Victory betting odds tend to provide some of the best payouts.  If Atlanta actually were to win by more than 22 points, Betonline would pay out $1400 on a $100 bet.

There Atlanta winning by 1 to 6 points would pay out $350 for every $100 bet or $35 for every $10 bet.  This is in line with the typical offerings with win margin wagering that the favorite jives with the actual spread.

It should be noted that BetOnline has given the Falcons 2.5/1 odds of winning Super Bowl LI for a payout potential of $250 on every $100 bet or $25 for every $10 bet.
