Gatorade Bath Color Odds Prop for Super Bowl 50: A Look Back at Past SB Games

One of the most popular Super Bowl bet props is the Gatorade Bath color and this will be the case for Super Bowl 52 as well.  Bookmaker has Super Bowl 52 prop bet wagering odds.

Orange is the favorite for three reasons:

First, it’s one of the most popular of the Gatorade flavors and one often used for a championship win coach dousing.

Second, it was the color used by the Panthers upon winning the NFC Championship game against Arizona.

And third, orange represents the dominant color of the Denver Broncos.

Blue pays $27.50 on a $10 bet and has terrific value assuming the Panthers do win as -6 point favorites.

The dominant color of Carolina’s uniform is blue after all.  And why would they use the same color Gatorade as with the NFC Championship game?

Last year’s Super Bowl winners, the New England Patriots, used Blue Gatorade and that just happened to be the team’s dominant uniform color.

Team color schemes are not necessarily an indicator of what color will be used for the coveted Gatorade Shower.

In 2014, Seattle in their blue and white opted for the color orange.

In 2012, Clear Gatorade (+350 for Super Bowl 50) was used to splash all over Giants head coach Tom Coughlin (as opposed to blue matching their uniforms). Interestingly enough, New York used clear liquid with their 2008 win as well.

In 2011, Green Bay opted for Orange instead of Green.

“It’s interesting that the Patriots may have been starting a trend last year by dumping the team represented color of blue,” noted Don Shapiro of Gambling911.com.  “This particular prop bet is becoming more and more popular each yearI would say the team color schemes will offer more of an edge for Super Bowl 50 and future championship games.”

ORANGE $10 bet pays $12.50

BLUE $10 bet pays $25.75

CLEAR $10 bet pays $35

YELLOW $10 bet pays $35

RED $10 bet pays $57.50

GREEN $10 bet pays $100

PURPLE $10 bet pays $100
