Bookmakers anticipate the 49ers to cover and likely win outright as a -3 favorite against the New York Giants Monday night in what is otherwise another bad Monday Night Football matchup if not for the strong markets and gambling public.

Why The Giants Are Likely To Lose

Despite 60% of the betting public backing the New York Giants, books haven't moved off the -3.  This type of action, especially for a Monday Night primetime show, should be forcing the line down as far as -2.   Instead, some books, including the sharp shops, have moved to -3.5.
