Lions vs. Falcons Betting Line – Week 8 Fantasy Value for Golden Tate, Julio Jon

The Lions vs. Falcons betting line was set at Detroit -3.5 at BetPhoenix.ag where you can  receive up to 175% in FREE CASH bonuses here.  Below we also look at the fantasy values for Golden Tate and Julio Jones.

With 64% of the action on Detroit we could see the line move up to -4 or even higher depending on the amount of volume.

These two teams have inverted records with Detroit at 5-2 and Atlanta at 2-5.  In 2011 and 2012, respectively, the Falcons did beat the Lions by more than a touchdown in both games.

The Falcons are 5-11 Against The Spread in their last 16 games following a ATS loss and 5-11 ATS in their last 16 games after accumulating less than 90 yards rushing in their previous game.

This game will be played in London.  Only Detroit has played on a neutral field over the past three seasons, winning that single game both Against The Spread and Straight Up.

Fantasy players will want to look closely at Golden Tate as he averaged 8.7 yards after the catch last week, according to ESPN.com.  That is the most for any player with 10 receptions in a game this season.  And guess what?  The Falcons allow an NFL-high 147.6 yards after the catch per game.

He was Matthew Stafford’s top target last week but Calvin Johnson (aka Megatron) is set to return so we will most certainly see Tate’s production decrease.  He still puts up good numbers with Johnson in the lineup.

Atlanta wideout Julio Jones might be in trouble in Week 8 as Detroit allows the 4th fewest fantasy points to opposing wideouts.

Jones is good enough to individually stand above Atlanta’s depleted offensive line and, as such, is being heralded as a MUST START WR1 regardless.

Xavier Worthy = Tyreek Hill 2.0?  Perhaps, and if that comes to fruition at any point in the future, the Bills only have themselves to blame.

J.J. McCarthy Drafted Number 3 Odds to Patriots

To be clear, the Michigan quarterback J.J. McCarthy is pretty certain to land in Minnesota.  But what if the New England Patriots shock us and pick McCarthy at Number 3 before the Vikings get their opportunity at No. 5?
