More Money on Jets Than Steelers-Browns, Pats-Dolphins Games Combined

The Bills cover and outright win against the New York Jets, who were eliminated from Playoff contention as a result, turned into a huge win for bookies in Week 17.  How big?

While it is true that Pittsburgh had a larger percentage of the action coming its way in a solid cover against Cleveland, more money was coming in on the Jets than for any other side.  In fact, there was more Jets money than what came in on both the Steelers-Browns and Patriots-Dolphins games combined.

The Bills spoiled the New York Jets' playoff hopes and Buffalo coach Rex Ryan got his revenge against his former team.

Ryan's high-priced and much-criticized defense closed the game by intercepting Ryan Fitzpatrick on each of New York's final three possessions to secure a 22-17 win.

The Jets (10-6) were then knocked out of playoff contention when the Pittsburgh Steelers (10-6) beat Cleveland 28-12 shortly after the final whistle sounded in Buffalo.
