New York Jets vs. Houston Texans Odds

New York Jets vs. Houston Texans odds had the Texans as a -4 favorite at BetUS.com.  While the Texans were getting over 70 percent of the action on the spread, New York was getting over 80 percent of the action on the money line, which would pay almost $200 for every $100 bet.

The Jets have enjoyed great success over Houston this decade.  They are 3-0 all time (all played since 2003).  Two of these games were played in the Meadowlands.

Important New York Jets vs. Houston Texans odds trends to consider:

The Jets are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 games as a road underdog.

The Jets are 0-5 ATS in their last 5 games overall.

The Texans are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 games overall.

The Texans won 5 of their last 6 games in 2008 and come into the 2009 season on a high note.  The New York Jets fell apart at the end of last season but come into 2009 with a much improved defense.

Houston could be a good team in 2009.  Our 2009 NFL Power Rankings have the Texans ranked at #15 based on the consensus odds to win the 2010 Super Bowl of online sportsbooks.

NFL.com makes it abundantly clear what to watch in this game:

Part of the reason for New York's collapse at the end of last season was its defense. The Jets gave up over 24 points a game in losing four of their last five contests. Enter new coach Rex Ryan. He brings in a proven attacking system from Baltimore, but it will be challenged against the Texans' explosive offense.

The oft injured Houston quarterback Matt Schaub may or may not play with his injured ankle, but this will probably affect this game regardless.  Rex Grossman starts if Schaub is out.

We are going out on a limb here and picking the Jets to cover - not necessarily win.  Sports Interaction was offering this line at Jets +4 ½ and that is the one we are going to take here at Gambling911.com as Jets supporters.  If you are among the 80 percent taking the Texans here, by all means grab the -4 at BetUS.com.

Aiyuk-Deebo Trade Odds and ROY Shift

Xavier Worthy = Tyreek Hill 2.0?  Perhaps, and if that comes to fruition at any point in the future, the Bills only have themselves to blame.

J.J. McCarthy Drafted Number 3 Odds to Patriots

To be clear, the Michigan quarterback J.J. McCarthy is pretty certain to land in Minnesota.  But what if the New England Patriots shock us and pick McCarthy at Number 3 before the Vikings get their opportunity at No. 5?
