The New England Patriots continue to rank among the weekly NFL top bets and Week 8 is no exception to that rule.  The Pats spread and money line were easily the top two bets of the week.

New England -7 @ Buffalo

The Patriots avenging their only loss of the year to division rival Buffalo is what the betting public is banking on here.  New England was embarrassed at home by the Bills and the betting public sees this as a scenario where the Pats should destroy them.  The line on this game opened at -4.5 and had moved as high as -6.5 at some books but most were holding at -6 throughout Saturday.  With little effort to get this number back to -6.5 we suspect the books believe Buffalo could cover here.  But they will be manhandled should the Pats win outright AND cover.

Oakland PK @ Tampa

One of only three NFL sides seeing greater than 70 percent of the backing in their respective game on the spread, the Raiders-Bucs line did open as a PICK’EM, though Tampa was as high as a -1.5 home favorite throughout the course of the week before this number drifted back downward again.  Some books had begun offering Oakland as the -1 road favorite despite the heavy action coming their way.  This suggests the potential for a Tampa cover as the books appear to hold a strong opinion here.  Gambling911.com could not verify the amount of volume coming in on this game to determine the amount of exposure for the books.  Both teams, especially Oakland, have been playing decent this season.

Philadelphia @ Dallas

The Cowboys should be the third most wagered on option for the day when all is said and done.  This Sunday Night Football game has Dallas seeing 72 percent of the betting action as a -5 home favorite.  Bookmakers have been encouraging action on Dallas by bringing the line down to -4.5 and even -4.  Philadelphia is an easy cover here.

Xavier Worthy = Tyreek Hill 2.0?  Perhaps, and if that comes to fruition at any point in the future, the Bills only have themselves to blame.
