The New England Patriots odds of winning the AFC East division in 2016 were set at -220, making them the commanding favorite having won 12 of the last 13 seasons.

From SI.com:

“So long as (Tom) Brady and Bill Belichick are together (for at least three quarters of the season), the Patriots are going to have a target on their backs. Brady’s absence does represent a roadblock that the team hasn’t dealt with since the future Hall of Famer suffered a season-ending knee injury in Week 1 of 2008. That was the last year New England did not win the division.”

From Athlon:

“(Martellus) Bennett must become a reliable option in the passing game to complement (Rob) Gronkowski. (Julian) Edelman and (Dion) Lewis must stay on the field to give Brady the type of weapons he needs to succeed. (Jabaal) Sheard and Co. must overcome the loss of Jones to make sure the pass rush remains a strength.

“Overall, the Patriots possess a Super Bowl roster that only needs to come together to reach its goals. Unless injuries get in the way, the Pats will be the favorites to represent the AFC in Houston.”

Lewis though won’t be on the field likely the first half of the season as he’ll need another knee surgery.  Last year he had 36 receptions for 388 yards with four total touchdowns in seven games.

With Brady out the first four games and Lewis out indefinitely, the Patriots are more vulnerable than ever in this division.

The Patriots are favored to win OVER 10.5 regular season games compared to Buffalo and New York (Jets) 8 and Miami 7.
