Samir Nasri

Where Samir Nasri ends up depends on which of the London papers you happen to be reading.  The Daily Mail and Sun were reporting on Nasri heading to Man City while the Express and Daily Mirror claimed that Arsenal was essentially still taking bids, and presumably from Manchester United.  The top bid could turn out to be an astounding £25m.

Both Man City and Manchester United were now listed at 5/6 odds.

Arsenal reportedly approached Samir Nasri on Friday with the same contract offer that convinced Cesc Fabregas to stay last summer, ESPN was reporting.  Arsenal’s odds of keeping Nasri were around 1/2.

Nasri has already rejected a £90,000-per-week five-year deal, according to the London Evening Standard.

Arsene Wenger commented on the official club site:  "Our position is always the same, we want to keep Cesc (Fabregas) and I will fight as hard as I can to keep him. Samir Nasri is exactly the same. We will do everything we can to keep him."
