Uruguay v Chile Betting Odds

Uruguay v Chile betting odds had Uruguay at 11/8 odds and Chile at 7/4.  The draw came in at 2/1 odds.  On paper, this appears to be the most evenly matched game of the Copa America competition this week.  ( Copa América Apuestas)

Chile comes into this game having beaten an undermanned Mexico squad.

Uruguay striker Luis Suarez scored in the closing moments of the first half to secure a 1-1 draw against Peru this past weekend.

Mexico assistant coach Luis Fernando Tena said of the Chile side:  "They have great players, they are a solid and strong team. They know each other well and this team can go a long way at the Copa. I think this is the best team I have seen at the tournament."

Uruguay has continuity with only four changes to a team that made it to the semi-finals of the 2010 World Cup.  They also have the same head coach.

Uruguay forward Edinson Cavani does not see any changes in playing style when his side faces Chile on July 8:  "We will play the same game from the beginning and imposing our own system, although we have to correct our mistakes from the first game."

There were claims that Uruguay did not take its game against Peru seriously.

We did not underestimate anybody. [Peru] played a great game," Cavani insisted.

This one can be bet on from just about anywhere in the world, including throughout South America, at William Hill here.  Those living in the USA can place their bets online here.
