Mass Casualties on Vegas Strip as Car Intentionally Plows Into Pedestrians: 37 Injured (Video)

As many as 37 people may have been injured after a vehicle careened into a sidewalk along the famed Las Vegas Strip.  Authorities have confirmed that one individual has died.

The incident forced the closure of Las Vegas Boulevard this evening near Flamingo Road close to the Paris Las Vegas Hotel.  The Miss Universe Pageant had just concluded at the nearby Planet Hollywood Hotel.

The crash happened about 6:38 p.m. near Las Vegas Boulevard South, north of East Harmon Avenue, according to Metro Police.

Las Vegas Boulevard was closed in both directions from Flamingo through Harmon.  The Strip has since reopened.

The female driver in her 20's carrying a small child was arrested.  Authorities have confirmed that act was intentional.
