*Mike “The Mouth” Matusow Wins WSOP Bracelet - Mike Matusow won the $5,000 Seven Card Stud Hi-Low Split-8 or Better event that included a who's who of poker professionals. In addition to $266,503, he earned his fourth gold bracelet. The victory moves him into an elite club of four-time champions that includes Puggy Pearson, Amarillo Slim, Bobby Baldwin, Huck Seed and a handful of other WSOP legends.

*More World Series of Poker Bracelet Winners - Jonathan Taylor won Event 14 Saturday night, adding $454,424 to his bankroll and a gold bracelet to his three Circuit rings.
This $1,500 No Limit Hold’em event drew 1,819 players and generated a prize pool of $2,455,600. The top 198 players finished in the money, earning at least $2,774. Some of the notables who collected a payday were Dan Kelly (180th), Steve Zolotow (136th), Athanasios Polychronopoulos (112th), Nick Schulman (77th), Frank Kassela (49th), last year’s winner in this event, Brent Hanks (47th), Paul Wasicka (37th), and Erick Lindgren (19th). Chris Hunichen made a good run at a second 2013 WSOP final table, but came up short in 13th place.

Relatively unknown player Moscow born Rofman defeated big name pro Allen Cunningham heads-up at the final table of the $1,500 Pot Limit Hold'em Event 12 to earn the bracelet in addition to $166,136 two days ago.
Pot Limit Hold’em is an increasingly rare form of tournament poker, but has been a staple of the WSOP schedule every year. The second event, which is a $5,000 buy-in event, begins on Sunday.

*NCAA Investigation Finds ‘No Concrete Evidence’ of Nevin Shapiro Hurricanes Gambling Claims – (Nevin) Shapiro alleged that coaches shared with him information --- such as whether a particular injured player would be available to play --- in at least two games, including in 2005 and a 2007 game against North Carolina, which UM lost, 33-27.
According to a third source, the NCAA previously investigated Shapiro's gambling claims but found no concrete evidence and did not make any allegations regarding gambling in UM's Notice Of Allegations.

*Legalized Internet Gambling Could Leave Atlantic City in Worse Shape - Looming over the transition (to Web gambling) is whether casino customers will find Internet gaming so appealing that they decide to skip the lengthy drive to Atlantic City and simply stay home, leaving the city no better off than it was before.
That scenario, while possible, isn’t likely, one expert said, particularly if casinos can convince occasional gamblers who find them online to visit their properties.
“The extent to which this behavior online will translate to people saying, ‘I like playing at XYZ’s website, I have so many points for meals and drinks,’ it can be a positive,” said Patrali Chatterjee, associate professor of marketing at Montclair State University, who has studied the potential impact of Internet gambling. “That’s the big challenge that casinos face: to what extent can they make the transition from bricks-and-mortar to online seamless?
