Indiana Sees Nearly Half-Billion-Dollar Sports Betting Handle in November

Sports betting continues to be hot in the Hoosier State.

The Indiana Gaming Commission released data showing the state’s casinos and their online sports betting handled $452.3 million during the month of November.  That number was off by just 10% of the  $500 million set in January.

$40 million in revenue came in, $3.8 million of which was paid to the state.

Not surprisingly, football accounted for 30 percent of all bets.

Indiana has an amazing edge over most other states in that Hoosiers live and breathe basketball.  The state is home to a number of top college teams along with the NBA's Pacers.
