2015 Breeders Cup Early Betting Odds

2015 Breeders Cup early betting odds had Triple Crown winner American Pharoah as a favorite, but not as big of one as would be expected.

American Pharoah would pay out $13 for every $10 bet or $130 for every $100 bet.  Heading into the Belmont Stakes, American Pharoah would have required a more substantial risk, betting above $11 to win $10.

This race is viewed as more competitive than the Belmont Stakes with Beholder looking to knock American Pharoah off his pedestal.

Beholder pays $3 for every $1 bet.  Her trainer is optimistic that Beholder will be fine to run in this year’s Breeders Cup though he was found to be not running a fever Wednesday one day after an elevated temperature had been determined.

"She's had no temperature. She's feeling very good," Mandella said. "We've taken more blood, we'll see how that looks. If that comes back normal today and the scan was good and she doesn't get any temperature, maybe by afternoon I might put my girl on her and ride her in the barn.

Honor Code is right up there in the odds as well, priced at 4/1.

American Pharoah +130 (a $10 bet pays $13, a $100 bet pays $130)

Beholder 3/1

Honor Code 4/1

Tonalist 6/1

Keen Ice 8/1

Frosted 10/1

Gleneagles 14/1

Smooth Roller 20/1

Hard Aces 45/1

Effinex 75/1
