Where Can I Bet the Kentucky Derby From Georgia?

You can bet the Kentucky Derby online from Georgia using BetOnline, which offers a generous welcome bonus (max bonus $1000).

They will also give you a free $25 horse racing bet. Make your first wager and if it doesn't win, they will reimburse you with a free play up to $25.

The Status of Horse Racing in Georgia

Though BetOnline is available to bet on from the state, Georgia is not getting race tracks any time soon.

The state legislation had filed to legalize pari-mutuel horse racing back in January and that attempt was met with the usual kibosh.

Senator Brandon Beach, (R-Alpharetta) introduced the 51-page bill. It would have created a state racing commission with the power to issue licenses for up to three racetracks situated at least 125 miles apart that would be required to host 60-date minimum race meets.

It included provisions for historical horse race (HHR) gaming, simulcasting, and advance-deposit wagering.

Due to Georgia's status on horse racing, licensed US-based online racebooks typically shy away from the state.  Georgia residents will need to rely on websites licensed in other jurisdictions outside the US like BetOnline.  They are licensed in Panama.
