William Hill Nasal Strips to be Handed Out for Belmont Stakes

The UK’s biggest bookmaker William Hill will be offering its own branded nasal strips at betting shops in honor of this year’s Belmont Stakes race and the next Triple Crown winner (wishful thinking perhaps) California Chrome.  ESPN's Darren Rovell first reported on the most unusual offering.

Why nasal strips?

As many Gambling911.com readers might recall, California Chrome was nearly pulled from the Belmont Stakes after it was revealed Belmont officials might not permit usage of the nasal strips worn during both his Kentucky Derby and Preakness Stakes wins.

The concerns, however, were short-lived as Belmont officials provided California’ Chrome’s owners (and all other competing entries owners) with a quick approval.

Horses might love nasal strips, but do human beings really want to walk around with William Hill's logo on their schnozes?

Bottom line is, nobody really NOSE how this will go over with William Hill customers heading into the upcoming weekend’s big race.
