More Party Shots From Battle of Malta 2015

It's the "final" day of Battle of Malta with a Final Table possibly decided as early as dinner time but more likely before midnight.

Depending on the time it is determined, there could be a final table played out on Monday as casino rules in Malta dictate closure at 5 am.

The folks from PokerListings.com outdid themselves with another fabulous party Saturday night as the Sky Club Lounge reopened its doors just for the Battle of Malta.

November 8 - 4 pm

PokerListings.com had a great little piece from just after the day's action began with Norwegian player Siljie Nilsen.  This gives you some feel for the fun carefree atmosphere of BOM:

When the day started Norwegian Silje Nilsen was auspiciously absent from her seat.

With just six big blinds coming into the day she was short to begin with but, as the old saying, goes, all you need is a chip and a chair to make something happen.

Just a few minutes ago Nilsen rushed into the tournament room and took her seat, saying “I just woke up."

Bystander Fatima Moreira de Melo came up to her and joked, “What the fuck? You have better things to do?”

On the first hand in her seat she immediately shoved in the big blind with 1.5 big blinds left.

She showed A-T, which inspired de Melo to comment “A-T, that’s a nice thing to wake up to.”

When the 7 fell on the river giving her opponent, who called with K7, a pair she said “not so much anymore.”

Nilsen is now, officially, out of the tournament.
