More Full Tilt Poker Payments Coming by End of May
Another 1000 US-based customers are set to receive payments from Full Tilt Poker by the end of May.
A claims administrator appointed by the US Government approved refunding of $82 million to some 30,000 players back in January and another $5 million was sent out to some 2200 claimants this month, however, that was only a small portion of monies that have been owed since Full Tilt Poker was forced to flee the US market in April 2011 following an indictment.
The US Department of Justice placed the Garden City Group in charge of paying out those customers owed millions of dollars by Full Tilt Poker. PokerStars currently owns the Full Tilt Poker brand following an agreement to refund all non-US customers.
The Garden City Group website featured the following message:
"Petitioners who confirmed their balance prior to the deadline and did not file duplicate petitions. These petitions were previously reviewed by the Government, but [were] not yet approved for remission due to obviously incorrect or incomplete information. Petitioners in this category who subsequently updated their information will be forwarded to the Government for approval in the coming weeks."
Additional payouts were expected beyond the May 31 date.
