Doyle Brunson made some intriguing remarks concerning poker pro Daniel Negreanu "taking a shot" at a recent poker tournament and concluding that the video does not look good for Daniel.  Nevertheless, Brunson goes on to defend Negreanu.

"I can't help noticing where Daniel Negreanu is being accused of "taking a shot" in a recent poker tournament. While the video does look bad for Daniel, everyone who knows him believes it was unintentional and an innocent act. Daniel is one of our best ambassadors and shouldn't be subjected to undeserved criticism."

The question is, what "shot" and when did this event transpire?

We are having a tough time finding any mention of this on the Web outside of Doyle's own blog entry this week.

Florida Takes Serious Look at Online Poker

Lawmakers in Florida could consider regulating Internet poker during the coming legislative session, with options ranging from banning the activity altogether to allowing and drawing revenue from the games.

Gambling911.com first reported the legislative meetings that were to take place this week regarding the issue of legalized online poker.

"Because they're in other countries, the law enforcement doesn't reach there," said Alex Regalado, an analyst for the Legislature's research arm, the Office of Program Policy Analysis and Government Accountability.

According to the research office, lawmakers have three options:

- Wait to see what action the federal government takes.

- Ban Internet poker.

- Allow poker and regulate it.

There are hurdles to making online poker illegal in the state.

"A law to prohibit Internet gambling could be difficult to enforce as anyone with the appropriate equipment and Internet connections can play online poker in the privacy of his or her own home," the report says.
