Newcomer Prime Sports is the latest to join the regulated sports gambling market.  This isn't just any newcomer as many of those involved are long time friends of Gambling911.com.  They opened their doors first in Ohio and are promising apps in both New Jersey and Kentucky soon.  Prime Sports is encouraging folks from all US states to sign up and get the latest alerts on when you, too, can start taking advantage of their high limits.

We know, we know....we said the same about PlayUp and look at what a disaster that's become.

No need to worry. That won't happen here.

Prime Sports Executive Chairman is none other than the great Joe Brennan, Jr.  Gambling911.com once traveled with Brennan Jr. to Frankfurt, Kentucky where he and his team single-handedly prevented the commonwealth's then Governor, Andy Beshear, from confiscating some 130 gambling-related domain names.

More recently, Brennan Jr. was one of the main individuals responsible for getting the Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act of 1992 overturned by the US Supreme Court.  In other words, you can thank Joe for your ability to place legal bets on sportsbook apps from your home state.

"In the early years, it was really tough because most people thought we were wasting our time," he told SBC two years ago upon being inducted into their Sports Betting Hall of Fame. "Even some of the Las Vegas bookmakers thought that the law wouldn’t be overturned. For so long, people thought we were crazy – and at times, we really questioned why we were bothering.

"It wasn’t really until the Supreme Court agreed to hear the case. The polarity then seemed to change overnight. When the Supreme Court agreed to hear the lawsuit, the bandwagon for legalising sports betting was suddenly full. It seemed like we were getting knocked off of our own bandwagon.

"Then there was a sense that once it got to the Supreme Court, opponents became allies. The casino associations and companies that were originally opposing  us were now agreeing that sports betting should be legalized."

Brennan Jr. promises Prime Sports will be different in that it will follow a model similar to that of Circa Sports and Pinnacle.

"Our new sportsbook is simple: you can bet up to the max on any market (we post it). You won’t be limited, pinwheeled or shut down, & when you win we’ll pay you out as fast as possible. Guaranteed."

The launch coincides with this week's sports betting networking event in Las Vegas, BetBash, for which Brennan, Jr. will be present.

For now, Prime Sports will go live in New Jersey and Ohio.  Other states will follow.

According to its Terms & Conditions page, Prime Sports is operated and controlled by Out the Gate.  OTG promotes itself as a "multichannel gaming operator, offering licensed real-money (RM) games in the sports betting, casino, racing and daily fantasy sports (DFS)".  It is not immediately clear if Prime Sports will enter what is once again becoming a lucrative Daily Fantasy Sports market.  Today's key players like PrizePicks and Underdog Fantasy have already overtaken DraftKings DFS site in terms of overall market share and app downloads.  PrizePicks is now the most searched for term leading to the Gambling911 website.
