Braves-Nationals – PITCHING MATCHUP: Braves RH Julio Teheran (5-4, 5.08 ERA) vs. Nationals RH Tanner Roark (6-3, 3.87)

Some books opened the total at 9 but trended upwards to 9.5.

The OVER is 17-5 in the last 22 meetings.  Half of the last ten games in this series have gone OVER the current number of 9.5.

Teheran finally turned in a solid start at home with six innings of one-run ball in a no-decision against the New York Mets on Friday.

Roark allowed five runs and a season-worst 11 hits over six innings in a loss to Texas on Friday, snapping his three-start winning streak.  He is 5-1 with a 1.96 ERA versus Atlanta.

The OVER is 10-4 in Teheran’s last 14 starts vs. National League East and 7-1-1 in Roark’s last 9 starts when their opponent allows 5 runs or more in their previous game.

Rockies-Pirates - PITCHING MATCHUP: Rockies RH German Márquez (4-3, 4.44 ERA) vs. Pirates RH Chad Kuhl (1-5, 5.63)

The UNDER is 11-2-3 in the last 16 meetings in Pittsburgh.

Marquez won his final four starts in May, allowing a combined four runs, but he has dipped in his last two trips to the mound.  Marquez threw 80 pitches and lasted only three innings in a no-decision at the Chicago Cubs on Friday.

Kuhl's only win came in his season debut and he has not pitched beyond five innings since April 18, but with his rotation spot in jeopardy he has turned in back-to-back solid efforts in a pair of no-decisions.

Orioles-White Sox - Orioles RH Dylan Bundy (6-5, 3.05 ERA) vs. White Sox RH Miguel Gonzalez (4-7, 4.89)

Bundy fell to 1-4 in his last five outings on Friday despite allowing just three runs on five hits in six innings at the New York Yankees.  He was able to limit the club to three runs on six hits in six innings to pick up the win.

Gonzalez has struggled of late with a 1-7 mark and a 6.56 ERA in his last eight starts.

The good news for Gonzalez is that the Orioles are 3-14 in their last 17 road games vs. a right-handed starter and this is helping to bring the total down from 10.5 to 9.5 as this was going to press.

The White Sox aren’t much better, going 3-7 in their last 10 games vs. a right-handed starter.
