Saturday’s Conor McGregor-Nate Diaz UFC 202 fight odds had McGregor as a -125 odds-favorite and Diaz at +105.The fight is considered a “must win” for McGregor who could lose his star power with a loss to Diaz.

McGregor has previously lost to Diaz.

ESPN.com writes:

There are plenty of arguments to be made how McGregor's star power could survive a second straight loss to Diaz, but his legend would never be the same. Not the one he was attempting to build entering their first bout.  That's why Saturday's rematch is a must-win for McGregor in terms of how we'll remember him down the line. It may also prove to be a must-win for the UFC.

Yes, McGregor could conceivably lose to Diaz and still return to featherweight, where he remains the UFC champion. But his audacious aura -- the very foundation his star was built upon -- will be damaged.
