Manny Pacquiao (57-5-2, 38 KO’s)

Pacquiao is the only fighter in history to be an eight-division world champion. He has won ten world titles and he was fighter of the decade for the 2000’s. At 37 years old, his best days are behind him but he is still the current WBO welterweight champion and ranked as the third best pound for pound fighter in the world. Pacquiao has won each of his last three fights by unanimous decision as he defeated Brandon Rios in 2013, Timothy Bradley in 2014 and Chris Algieri in late 2014.

Pacquiao is known for his outstanding boxing skill and his speed. He is not known for having great power as his last knockout came in 2009. The lack of power shouldn’t be an issue in this fight as most people think the bout against Mayweather will go the distance.

Floyd Mayweather Jr. (47-0, 26 KO’s)

Mayweather is unbeaten in his career with 47 wins and no losses. He is now 38 years old and not the fighter he once was but he has rarely been challenged in his career. He is the current WBC, WBA and Ring welterweight champion and the current WBC, WBA and Ring junior middle weight champion. Even at the age of 38 he is still considered the best pound for pound boxer in the world. At 47-0 he is two wins away from tying Rocky Marciano’s record of 49-0 and three wins away from finishing his career at 50-0.

Mayweather fought twice in 2013 as he defeated Robert Guerrero and Saul Alvarez and he fought twice last year as he defeated Marcos Maidana twice. All four fights were unanimous 12 round decisions for Mayweather.
