Blazing Sevens became the first pony to decline the Derby invitation.  But he will be running in Saturday's Preakness Stakes race with a promise to pay out $72.50 for every $10 bet.

Blazing Sevens was the winner of the Grade 1 $500,000 Champagne S in the slop.  There is suddenly rain in the forecast for Saturday's race.

“He had a good trip,” said jockey Flavian Prat. “He broke well and he got himself into the race. I was traveling really well on the backside and decided to drop myself in and try to save some ground a bit. He was traveling really well all the way around and when I tipped him out and he changed leads, he really changed gears as well."

Blazing Sevens debuted at Saratoga on July 24, crossing the wire 6 1/4 lengths in front in a six-furlong dirt dash.

Since winning the Champagne, he's finished 4th, 8th and 3rd, respectively, his last race at the Blue Grass Stakes.

Can't Bet on Twinspires.com From Mississippi

Despite it being among the very first states to legalize sports betting following the US Supreme Court decision to abolish decades of prohibition in 2018, Mississippi still doesn't allow mobile sports wagering....and that includes betting on the Kentucky Derby.  As such, TwinSpires.com is not available here.

Can't Bet the Kentucky Derby With Twinspires From My State

TwinSpires is available from most US states.  Those states where the app is not available mostly do not feature any of the competition either.  BetOnline is available in states where TwinSpires is not for those 18 and up with two exceptions, New Jersey and Nevada.
