Tigers Woods returns to play in his 26th Masters in Augusta this year.  His payout odds? 100-1 or a $10,000 payout for every $100 bet.  Make no mistake about it, the books will take quite a hit.  Woods remains a favorite year in and year out regardless of his lack of success recently.

Could This Be Tiger's Year?

Whether he wins or not, the five-time Masters champion can still break a tournament record with his 24th consecutive made cut after tying Gary Player and Fred Couples last year.  Books are almost certain to offer a prop bet for this to happen.

Woods was forced to withdraw last year due to an aggravated plantar fasciitis in his right foot.

It's not guaranteed he will even play this year, but it is starting to look promising.

Woods played in a one-day Pro-Member tournament at Seminole Golf Club in Juno Beach, Florida, in early March, however, he did not take part in the Arnold Palmer Invitational and the Players Championship this month (March).

But Woods was spotted in Augusta on Saturday playing a round with club chairman Fred Ridley and Justin Thomas.  So, yes, there is indeed hope.

"I've always loved this golf course, and I love playing this event," Woods said at the time. "Obviously I've missed a couple with some injuries, but I've always wanted to play here. I've loved it."

Since returning to professional golf following a car wreck a few years ago, Woods has withdrawn or missed the cut in four of his six starts. His two finishes were a tie for 45th in the 2023 Genesis Invitational and a solo 47th in the 2022 Masters.
