All Illinois regulated sportsbooks allow betting on this year's NFL Draft.  Illinois is one of just a handful of US states that allow their licensed sportsbooks to do so.  Those 21 and up can bet on the Draft at regulated sportsbooks.  Offshore books and local bookies almost always allow those 18 and up to open wagering accounts.

Which Sportsbooks Are Regulated in Illinois?

  • FanDuel - Best sportsbook
  • DraftKings - Intuitive menus
  • Caesars - Great sign-up bonus
  • Fanatics Sportsbook - NFL live streaming
  • BetRivers - Best weekly promos
  • BetMGM - Best for deposits
  • ESPN BET - Loads of markets
  • Circa - High limits

What is the Amount of Tax I Will Pay on Winnings?

Sports bet winnings over $600 are subject to a 15% tax rate in Illinois with an other 25% of winnings withheld for federal tax purposes.   Gamblers in the state can deduct their losses.

Sportsbooks operating offshore also take bets on the NFL Draft from those in Illinois as do local bookies, however, they do not typically report your winnings.  Thus it is up to you to do so.

Caleb Williams to the Bears?

The 2022 Heisman Trophy winner, Caleb Williams, is widely anticipated to be the top overall 2024 NFL Draft pick and selected first by the Chicago Bears.

Williams did take a step back statistically during his junior season.  Regardless, he remained among the nation's most productive signal-callers.  Williams completed 266 of 388 pass attempts (68.6 percent) for 3,633 yards (9.4 YPA) and 30 touchdowns with just five interceptions.  He was credited for 121 rushing yards and 11 scores on the ground over 12 games with the USC Trojans.

"You take a kid, that, pretty much the bulk of his life and all of his high school, I mean, he was waking up at four or five o'clock in the morning and going to the gym and working out on his own, you know, organizing a group of guys to go to catch for him or organizing a group of guys to go work for him," USC passing game coordinator Dennis Simmons, who coached Williams at USC and Oklahoma, told NBC Sports Chicago. "I mean, that's not something that you coach; that’s something that someone has a passion for and enjoys doing it and wants to do.

"This kid's getting up every day, morning, day after day after day, because of hopes of one day being able to play on the stage and being able to fulfill a dream. I mean, that, that that tells you about the mentality and the character and the passion that he has for this game."

Round 2 NFL Draft Odds - 2024

Included below are Offensive and Defensive Rookie of the Year odds, will the Bills trade the first pick of the second round, who are the first picks at linebacker and running back.

Aiyuk-Deebo Trade Odds and ROY Shift

Xavier Worthy = Tyreek Hill 2.0?  Perhaps, and if that comes to fruition at any point in the future, the Bills only have themselves to blame.

J.J. McCarthy Drafted Number 3 Odds to Patriots

To be clear, the Michigan quarterback J.J. McCarthy is pretty certain to land in Minnesota.  But what if the New England Patriots shock us and pick McCarthy at Number 3 before the Vikings get their opportunity at No. 5?
