Belterra Casino Resort in Indiana, Near Cincinnati Opens FanDuel Sportsbook
FanDuel and Boyd Gaming have joined forces to open a sportsbook at the Belterra Casino Resort in Florence, Indiana. The property is located approximately 45 minutes from Cincinnati.

Belterra is the latest casino in a line of Indiana casinos cashing in on the legalization of sports gambling. In May 2018, the US Supreme Court ruled to overturn decades of sports betting prohibition.
Sportsbooks are expected to open at most of the state's casinos.

Belterra executives say it expects its Sportsbook to be very successful, drawing in visitors from not only Indiana, but Kentucky, Ohio and around the region.
"There's a lot of sports fans around here so it gives us an opportunity to have a new customer but also the sports fans around here, it gives them another option to watch the games in a fun environment," Blair Bendel, Vice President of Marketing for Belterra, said.
The casino partnered with Boyd Gaming and Fanduel to put together its sports book. It features five betting windows and 13 self-service betting kiosks open 24/7 for fans to wager on all of their favorite major U.S. sports teams.
Hollywood Casino in Lawrenceburg became one of the first sports books to open in the state this past week.
”For us, it's an exciting moment," Ryan Coppola, Interim General Manager at Hollywood Casino Lawrenceburg, said. "We now have the opportunity to offer a gaming platform to our guests that we hadn't had before, and that's always an amazing moment."
Indiana became the 13th state to legalize sports betting. Most states will be required to amend their own laws. Some won't.
The Hoosier State is among the least restrictive. Soon mobile sports wagering will be available anywhere within Indiana's borders. Gambling911.com currently rates Indiana a 6 on a scale of 1 to 10 in terms of competitiveness.
