Best Bets for This Weekend
Despite the football season being completely over now that the Super Bowl has come and gone, there is still plenty of sports action this weekend.
Bettors can find a number of quality games in different sports on which to wager. Here are the best bets for this weekend.
NBA: Lakers @ Nuggets
Denver is the third-highest scoring team in the NBA averaging 116 points per game. The Nuggets exploded for 133 on Wednesday in a win over Cleveland after struggling in three straight losses.
The Nuggets have a habit of struggling against good defensive teams like they did against the Lakers just last week. LeBron James and company shut down Denver in a 114-93 victory.
Nikola Jokic, who averages 26.9 points a game for Denver, was held to 6-of-16 shooting and a measly 13 points against L.A. last week.
While the Lakers are the best defensive team in the league, Denver excels at home especially when it comes to points. The Total has gone over in 10 of the Nuggets last 14 home games and the Over is 8-3-1 in Denver home games this season.
Jokic has scored 97 points in the Nuggets last three games, all of which went Over the posted Total. Playing the Lakers, look for a Total no higher than 220 and take the Over all day.

NHL: Canadiens @ Maple Leafs
They are two of the best - and possibly the best - teams in the NHL this season. Toronto (11-2-1) will host Montreal (8-3-2) on Saturday night.
The Maple Leafs just beat the Canadiens on Wednesday in Montreal. It was the Leafs fourth straight win and eighth victory in their last nine games.
Toronto has scored 19 goals in its last four games and Mitch Marner (21 pts) is the third-leading scorer in the NHL. Marner didn’t score when the two teams played on Wednesday. Jake Muzzin had three assists and John Tavares two in Toronto’s 4-2 win.
Did you know that America’s Bookie leads the way for NHL bettors?
The Canadiens are the NHL’s top-scoring team averaging 4.06 goals per game. When you put two high-scoring teams like this together, you think Over.
The problem is that the Total in this game is likely to be at least 6.5 as it was on Wednesday. The Under has actually hit in four of Montreal’s last six games.
Toronto is trending toward the Over with four in their last six games. Before Wednesday, the Leafs were 3-11 SU at Montreal. With this game at home, Toronto is going to push the pace and if you can get the total at 6.5, play the Over in this one.

NCAAB: Oklahoma @ West Virginia
No. 12 Oklahoma travels to No. 14 West Virginia in a Big 12 showdown on Saturday. The Sooners beat the Mountaineers at home earlier this season.
That game’s Total was 144.5. Look for Saturday’s to be in the same range and play it all the way to 147.
The Mountaineers score nearly 77 points per game and the Sooners score 75.5. Earlier this season, West Virginia lost to Kansas 79-65 and the Total went Over (138). WVU and the Jayhawks met again with a posted Total of 142. The Mountaineers won 91-79.
Expect another high-scoring battle in Morgantown on Saturday and play the Over all the way to 147.
