Israel’s Netta won this year’s competition, which was expected to have attracted millions of viewers across the globe.

Austria led after the juries’svote but public support saw Israel over the line.

Ireland’s Ryan O’Shaughnessy finished a creditable 16th and the bookmakers at Paddy Power breathed a sigh of relief as a result after they had 1 million euros on the line due to heavy betting on the Irish entry.
