Cøbra Misses Deadline to Respond to Craig Wright’s IP Lawsuit

The Drudge Report featured the headline last month that Dr. Craig Wright could now sue the mysterious owners of the Bitcoin.org website, traced back to an organization called Cøbra.

Wright, who says he is one of the original founders of Bitcoin, claims the Bitcoin.org site infringes his copyright over the world’s largest cryptocurrency.

The Australian scientist is seeking to have bitcoin.org remove the seminal 2008 white paper that sparked the currency.

And now comes word that Cøbra has failed to meet the deadline set by the London Court to respond.

Cøbra’s identity is still unknown, Cøbra was served via email to a bitcoin.org account. Cøbra was served on April 26 and was given 22 days to respond to the claim.

What Next?

It's not immediately clear what the next step will be.  Our colleages at CoinGeek understand that Dr. Wright is considering his next move.

Cøbra and bitcoin.org are among the five parties who have been targeted by Dr. Wright for copyright infringement over their hosting of the White Paper.
