Derek Carr Jets Odds Expected to Soar as QB Could Land in New York

News that quarterback Derek Carr had dinner and lunch with the Jets organization in recent days has seen oddsmakers scurrying to update their prices on Carr's next team.  As of Sunday morning, the Carr market odds were off the board.

As of early last week, Carr was promising a payout of $350 for every $100 bet should he land with the Jets.  These were the third shortest odds.

The Carolina Panthers and New Orleans Saints were actually co-favorites to sign Carr just days ago, each paying beween $140 and $150 on a $100 bet.

The former Las Vegas Raiders quarterback was spotted having dinner with the Jets Friday night, then lunch the next day. 

Ian Rapoport of NFL Network is reporting that Carr was expected to visit the Panthers this week.

"He is going to take his time and do his due diligence, so nothing is imminent right now," Rapoport said. "In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if Carr takes another visit down the line, perhaps to the Carolina Panthers, who also have some interest."
