Michigan Shatters Old Sports Betting Record

The state of Michigan reports that $500.5 million was bet at the state's sportsbooks, combined mobile and retail, during the month of November, according to a state report released last last week. That was up from October’s $497.6 million, the previous record handle.

Online sports betting in Michigan reached $473.8, which made up 94.7% of the handle.

It helps that both of the state's top College Football programs, the Michigan Wolverines and MSU Spartans, have enjoyed banner years.

So who are the most popular sportsbooks in Michigan based on the numbers?

DraftKings Sportsbook is the new number one, overtaking FanDuel, with $126.3 million in online handle. That makes up 26.7% of the overall online handle.

FanDuel Sportsbook brought in $115.2 million, or 24.3% of the online handle compared to 26.8% share of the online market the month before.

BetMGM Sportsbook came in 3rd with $100.8 million, or 21.3% of the online handle, and has stayed competitive with both DraftKings and FanDuel.

In a distant 4th place was Barstool Sportsbook taking in $41.3 million in online handle.
